What's Playing? 10/22 Weekend

***

This weekend's new releases in theatres look more promising than the films that opened last weekend.

Clint Eastwood's spooky looking drama about life after death, Hereafter, starring surprisingly Matt Damon is my top pick.
Horror fans and/or fans of 2009's hit Paranormal Activity, should check out Paranormal Activity 2.
Inhale, a thriller about a couple who are willing to do anything to get a lung transplant for their dying daughter looks really good.
Ben Affleck is back after The Town, with The Company Men, a drama about him losing his high-powered corporate job. It looks uninteresting but the supporting cast is great: Tommy Lee Jones and Kevin Costner.

The rundown of films in theatres starting this Friday are:

Hereafter
 What's It About?
A physic man can talk to the dead, a woman survives a tsunami and a young boy's twin brother dies as all three character's connect.

Why See It?
-For the supernatural plot.
-You're a fan of Clinton Eastwood directorial work.
-You're a Matt Damon fan.

Why Skip It?
You're not a believer of the supernatural.

Inhale
What's It About?
A desperate father, in hopes of saving his young daughter who needs a double lung transplant, goes to Mexico to seek out the doctor who does illegal transplant.

Why See It?
The plot is exciting and parts of it is reminiscent of John Q with Denzel Washington.

Why Skip It?
Dermot Mulroney is no Denzel Washington.

Paranormal
Activity 2
What's It About?
The sequel to Paranormal Activity about a demon haunting a family that is caught on camera via "found footage."

You're a fan of the first Paranormal Activity.

-You didn't see or enjoy the first Paranormal Activity
-You're not a fan of "found footage" films.

The Company Men
What's It About?
A man with a high-paying corporate job suddenly loses it and is forced to take a blue collar job to support his family.

Why See It?
If you're a Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones or Kevin Costner fan.

Why Skip It?
Despite the good cast, it looks boring.
